Comments: Nick's amp blows up in this performance. Richard recommends the fans to have sex to get the groove going. The performance carries on with just Simon Jones on the Bass, and Peter Salisbury on the drums while the problem gets fixed.
"….once again the band are enticing,
compelling, arrogant and wonderful, a rock 'n' roll groove machine fronted
by one of rock's great eccentrics, a man with music buried deep in his
soul. After 'Life's An Ocean', Richard tells us: 'you don't hear a fookin'
rhythm section like that very often, do you" - CITY LIFE
"'Time for a bit of head music, real fucking
music. COME ON!' says Richard as he grabs the mic. And we dive in for waves
and waves of it, including 'Slide Away', 'This Is Music' and' Life's An
Ocean' amongst others. Nick's amp conveniently blows up so Simon and Pete,
with Richard on two tambourines give us a bit of a groove while the technicians
tweak efficiently. More storming songs finishing off with 'The Sun The
Sea'." - THE GLASTONBURY REVIEW
