Modernism

As I live,
I choose.
Some choices are better,
Than others.
Regardless,
Once a choice is made,
It owns itself.

I like to think,
About tomorrow.
To prepare a course,
Of action.
Yet,
Tomorrow never arrives,
As I plan.

As possibilities,
Become choices,
As the future becomes,
The past,
Exist I.
Neither controlling the former,
Nor claiming the latter,
But,
Affecting both.
