Sandi
Come walk with me,
Into a strange land.
A land approachable,
Not by you alone,
Nor I by myself,
But only as we.
A strange land,
Created only as we explore,
Existing only between us.
True, those around us,
Are bound to leave marks,
A trail here,
A path there,
But in a landscape belonging to us,
Ah, this strange, strange land,
So full of opportunity,
Yet we must be careful,
For pitfalls are made too easily,
And some may lie hidden,
For days, weeks, years,
In what we feel is common ground.
Still, I am not afraid.
The treasure this strange land offers,
Which we have only begun to glimpse,
Has already made me far richer,
Than I have ever been.
So come,
Walk with me,
And call this strange land,
Home.
