Where is it that you go, When thank you is not enough. To tell these soldiers so brave, You know the life they lead is tough. Across the seas in a country unknown, You fought a war in troubled times. Boarded ships and air craft carriers, What thoughts went through your minds. A war that went without a name, Yet you continued your journey of plight. Reaching shores you had never seen, Prepared to stand for freedom and fight. |

The hearts of the women always near, Letters you wrote sent on their way. Lifted up from the battlefields, Often arrived in somewhat disarray. The turmoil was 'The Viet Nam War' As each of you with such honor and pride, Gave all that you had to set man free, God in your hearts as light for a guide. So where is it that you go, When you hear that freedom bell toll. To let you know how proud we are, Of all you gave in honor so bold. At the time when a Country failed to tell you so, But when in slumber of freedom we sleep. There are not enough honors, To lay at your valiant feet. |
