LADIES AUXILIARY

Dear Auxiliary Sister,
We wish you could have been at our last meeting. We accomplished a lot. It was good to see Wanda Painter back on her feet.
We are looking ahead to the Homeless Veteran Standdown. Start cleaning out your closets. We need warm clothing, blankets, backpacks, shoes, boots, first-aid kits, sox, and underwear. If you want to donate, take items to Post #501, 4747 W. Colfax on November 7. If you would like you could also give them to any Post or Auxiliary Officer. We will see to it that they get to those who need them.
We are planning on joining the Post members with any project to observe September 11. Fly your flag half-staff. Take a few moments to think about how that day changed our nation.
Our District 8 meeting will be in Leadville September 8. Try to make it. It would be nice to have a few more members show up for these meetings.
I would still like to meet more of our Auxiliary members!
                               -- Ginnie Marlin, Auxiliary President
