Kilik
Discipline: Secret Art of Ling-Sheng Su Style Rod
Weapon: Rod (Kali-Yuga)
Kilik was going to be the successor of the Kali-Yuga,
one of the three sacred treasures of the Ling-Sheng Su Temple. However,
the night before his succession ceremony an odd light appeared and fell
upon the temple. Because of this light everyone who saw it was driven
mad. The people went into a killing frenzy, including Kilik who killed
a large portion of temple members. When the madness came to an end the
second of the three sacred treasures, known as the Dvapara-Yuga, was
in Kilik’s possession. The item was originally Xianglian’s,
a woman who Kilik considered to be his older sister. When Kilik was
free of the madness he found that he was in an old man’s house.
The man told Kilik that a sword, known as the Soul Edge, was behind
the atrocity. After that day Kilik studied diligently in the way of
the Ling-Sheng Su style rod. When he was ready he left on a journey
to destroy the evil blade. Along the way he met a woman named Xianghua
and together they defeated Nightmare, the man who wielded the Sould
Edge. After returning home to perfect the technique of neutralizing
and purifying the evil energy he sensed the Soul Edge. Once again, Kilk
set out to destroy the evil blade in hopes it would cleanse him of his
sins.
Kilik’s weapon has the longest reach out of all
the characters giving him the advantage of attacking from a large distance.
Though Kilik’s weapon is meant for distance attacks Kilik is as
good up close as he is far away. Kilik’s attacks are both powerful
and fast causing a hefty amount of damage at a very fast pace. Kilik’s
movements are so fast, at times, that it is hard to tell what kind of
attack is coming next and, as a result, block. Kilik has a wide variety
of attacks, most of which can be linked together with others to create
a large combo. Due to the large quantity of attacks Kilik can be hard
to master, but when the player masters him he can easily become the
best character.
Kilik may have powerful attacks, but a lot of them end
up leaving him open to attack. Some cause him to charge the attack before
using it, which leaves him completely open, while others don’t
have the best accuracy and could easily wind up missing while his defenses
are down. If he is left open to attack a quick combo or a powerful hit
will damage him greatly. Kilik is the hardest to master due to the large
amount of combos and attacks he can use, so the player will need a lot
of time and patience to truly master Kilik.
Kilik‘s Score: 9.25/10
