At one time, Hyrule was shaken by several disasters. They brought dark clouds that shut out the sun, and a lone magician was to blame. Link defeated the magician in battle, and Hyrule believed that peace would return. This was not the case. Link discovered that the magician was being controlled by a sword called Soul Edge, which existed in a separate world. Link set off on a new adventure, to vanquish the blade, so that Hyrule could live in Eternal Peace.

Link has very powerful and easily executed moves. He's fairly difficult to read, which leaves an opponent in the dark. Being able to use his bow, boomerang, and bombs allow him distances and angled attacks. He can launch an opponent skyward with the sword, and then juggle them with the bow and sword attacks.

While Link is fun to use, his moves don't have much of a variety. Because he can use the bow, boomerang, and bombs, he loses many moves that can lead into combo attacks, giving him a very limited arsenal. This can become a problem, as it will force players to use many of the same moves, which will also allow an opponent to learn them quickly, helping them to dodge attacks. Link is definitely one used for fun, and should be left out of serious battles.
