At a young age, Yunsung idolized Hwang. As he grew stronger, surpassing Hwang became a goal of his. Hwang rejected his challenge to duel. The daughter of Yunsung’s master, Seung Mina, handed down the family heirloom sword to Yunsung and told him of it’s legendary magical ability to show the thoughts of the one who possesses it. He began studying himself and exchanged his foolishness for another way to earn Hwang’s respect. He would find the Soul Edge, something Hwang failed doing.

Yunsung is a master of stances and foolery. He makes playing a lot of mind games an option worth considering. His medium range repertoire of moves is deadly, and those who take the time to learn his more powerful attacks and which stances they are hidden away in - They will be a force to reckon with. He’s a magnificent combatant to watch. His chained up combinations are a spectacle in themselves, full of visual flare and insanely entertaining swordsmanship.

Like Spawn, he can seem sluggish at times. This makes him vulnerable to quick, aggressive fighters. Learning the ropes of switching between Yunsung’s plethora of stances to find his more useful, powerful attacks is a daunting task, and one most won’t be willing to attempt taking on. He requires that his user has a keen knowledge of all of his stances and how to switch between them in order to make the best of various situations he may find himself in. In other words, experience is a necessity. Yunsung’s horizontal and close range attacks pale in comparison to his vertical and medium range game, so a fighter that moves in would seemingly weaken him.
