Review:
One of Atari's rarer systems. It never
really made it beyond the USA, and is very hard to find in
Europe. This rarity was due to the crash, and was only released
for a mere 2 years.
It was capable to display 256 colours and had, a good 16Kb of
RAM which made it a very powerful piece of hardware, capable to
rival the arcade machines of this time. An interesting part are
the joysticks, which have a analog stick, a numberpad (like the
Intellivision) with two action buttons. But as clever the
joysticks may seem to be on first sight - the uncomfortable they
become when playing.
Conclusion
This was a solid system that kept up with
competitors at the time, but due to its predecessor and the
crash it was never going to suceed.
