Ashitaka was the Prince to the Emishi people before he contracted a curse defending his village. His people were forced to expel him, and he traveled to the west looking for a cure. He is an amazing fighter, able to use bow and arrow, swords, and hand to hand combat. His 'demon curse' endows him with extra strength as it takes over his arm. His ideals of right and wrong are very cut and dry and he seems sure of what to do most of the time. He is brave, honorable, loyal and has a stong sense of justice.
