He is a 500 year old Inoshishi (Boar God), the oldest of them all, from Chinzai (Kyuusyu). He is very stubborn and set in his ways, and has lost faith in the Shishi God because it has not helped them fight against the humans and save the forest. He leads the attack against the humans, and as he does so, loses some of his godliness, and becomes baser and baser, till he's lost his reason and is overtaken by the ? (hate, the same thing that infected Ashitaka's arm from the other demented god). He and Moro have conflicting opinions, but they never come to blows.
