Cute little spirits, their name means 'echo' or 'spirit of the trees.' They'll follow you around if they find you interesting, and they showed Ashitaka the way out of the forest when he was lost. They also like watching the Shishi God change at dusk and dawn. They have pale green, half transparent bodies, and tend to turn their head around to the right, and let them go, twisting back into place, which results in clicking noises. Harmless, with seemingly, no bad intentions towards anyone, though the humans are deathly afraid of them.
