Thomas Jefferson Hilyard was born 28 Mar 1825 according to the family Bible. He married Jemima Springer in Fairfield County, Ohio, on 11 Nov 1845. By 1850, he had moved to far western Ohio, in Van Wert County. He was the first of the Hilyard family to move this far west. I have not located Thomas after this census yet.
