The Haul

I went out to Target first thing this morning and scooped up Robo-Vision Prime and Arcee, Ironhide, Optimash, and two sets of Robot Heroes - Bumblebee Vs Soundwave and Ultra Magnus Vs Megatron.  It was a tough choice, but I was on a $100 budget.  So, I still had a little under $20 left and decided to go to the local Wal-Mart.

I don't know why I bothered as they had only one 4-way of movie-related toys, none of which I couldn't have gotten anywhere else except the Bumblebee Vs Barricade set for $16.88.  But, since I already picked them up separately a few weeks ago, I left no money there.

My last stop was another Target, where my Mother-In-Law works.  After a short visit with her, I went back to the toy department to find a lot less product than at the previous Target.  It almost looked as though they hadn't finished setting up yet.  However, there was a lone Leader class Megatron.  I snatched it up since he's rather hard to come by.

But, I was now faced with a dilemma.  This would put me over my limit by about $28 after tax.  Should I face the music when I get home?  I figured it probably would be okay to go over a little, but I didn't want to.  Not for fear of being scolded, but because I agreed to something.  So, after buying Megs, I returned Ironhide and the Ultra Magnus Vs Megatron Robot Heroes.  This put me at $102.

Was it worth the return?  Megatron is cool looking in robot mode, but his transformation is needlessly complicated considering he turns into a Cybertronian Jet.  He does make neat sounds and features some nifty... um... features. Such as a fusion cannon on his left forearm and his right hand becomes a chain-whip.  I'm sure Ironhide won't be too hard to come by, though I think I might have been happier with him.

Arcee is neat.  Not that I don't already have her, but I do like the mold.  Prime is beyond nifty though.  My only complaint about him is the truck kibble on his back.  He does have a nice color scheme and cool features, like the Peter Cullen driver that appears when you close the driver-side door.  Optimash is cute, but like the Star Wars Potato Heads, he lacks in accessories due to the size of his licensed parts.  The little truck he comes with is cool.  As for the Robot Heroes, Soundwave rules and Bumblebee drools.
