I tried to swear off buying any more Star Wars figures, but after receiving my McQuarrie concept figures on eBay (and the multiple sighting of said figures I've had since then), I've opened myself up to the notion of buying a few more if they met my fancy (especially since no one wants to carry new Transformers product I want to buy for almost two months).
Case in point, the third wave of Star Wars comic book packs. I found then at a nearby Wal-Mart I don't frequent as it's usually a let down. I bought two of the three in the assortment. The first included Leia and Vader from Star Wars Infinities where Leia learns the ways of the Force after Luke dies on Hoth from the Wampa assault. The second includes A'Sharad Hett and Dark Woman (or An'ya Kuro if you prefer and I do - what the hell kind of stupid name is Dark Woman to call yourself? Really?) from the prequel comics where Ki-Adi Mundi, Adi Gallia, and A'Sharad Hett hunt down Aurra Sing as she hunts them.
These figures seem to fit in well with the McQuarrie crew and so I've started to think about a Star Wars expanded universe of my own. Vader would still be Vader. I'm thinking that Boba Fett (which reminds me - there's someone that sells to the store I work at with the last name Fett) could be the guy who trains the Stormtroopers. The Stormtrooper I have I've decided to name Captain Torbuk (after a character in Star Blazers). Luke, Leia, Chewie, R2, & 3PO are what they are with Leia just starting out on the road to Jedi-dom. As for A'Sharad, I have a few ideas for him. Is he the one who trained Anakin? Is he a Tusken Raider that infiltrated the Jedi Order to track down Vader? Is he both? Neither? I don't know yet. I have decided An'ya will be Leia's trainer while Luke does the hero gig with Chewie and the droids. Oh, the adventures they'll have.
Now, to absorb the few remaining modern Star Wars figures into the story.
