I had lunch with my parents today the local mall's food court. I'd disclose who ate what, but I'm sure no one cares about that. Anyway, before we ate, Mom gave me an update about my Uncle who is in the hospital. He's conscious now and able to talk a bit. But, he's paralyzed from the neck down and they do not know when, if ever, he'll recover from that. He's supposed to be airlifted to a specialty clinic, but the weather has been so bad in Germany that he's still at the first hospital. My cousin (his son) will be going back to work on Monday, which means my Aunt will be stuck where she is if they're able to transport my Uncle to the other clinic. She doesnt drive, so I'd assume she'd take the bus to visit. But, it's hard to know what's really going on when the information I get is second-hand and translated from German. Not that I doubt my Mom's communication skills, mind you. I just get the feeling there's more going on than I'm being told.

Still, my prayers go out to him and all my family over there. Get well soon, Uncle. Get well soon.
