welcome to...
Overnight in Ann Arbor

I'll probably be letting the pictures do most of the talking, but basically it's about what I did in Ann Arbor over spring break.

I got to Ann Arbor around about 12, and Lauren took me to see the sights.

ah, but first, it's time for some lunch in the student union.

then, it's off to admire the architectural integrity of the U of M campus.  Another tourist was taking pictures of this same structure,
so we waited until we were out of each other's ways before taking photographs.

this is just one interesting little corner of some library, where if you look at it long enough you get hella disoriented.  Wacky.

This is "the cube," a great big black spinning sculpture.  Lauren and I spun it.  It was fun.

after walking around campus, it was time to find something to do.  We read the campus' alternative (and get this) conservative (!!! blech...) newspaper,
and, well, did whatever people who are locked out of their rooms do until their roommate gets back.

Then, it was off to go visit Jasmine on the other end of campus.

Jasmine was hungry, so we stopped by Joe's Crab Shack (see beginning of feature) for some food.  But the wait was around
30 minutes, so we agreed to kill time somewhere. Yep, you guessed right.  That's underwear.  But isn't it a great photo?

Target is a great place to kill time.  We got back to Joe's Crab Shack just in time to get our places.  Jasmine had shrimp.  I had a huge plate of fried food.

We went back to Jasmine's room for a little while.  I took a picture of me in her mirror.

Then, it was off to shoot some pool with Jasmine's friend, John, pictured below.

We played several games of 8-ball.  John beat Jasmine and I regularly.  I think I won once, but on a fluke.  Oh well... I suppose
being a billiard ace isn't the most important skill I'll ever need.

And after all that, it was time to go to sleep.  I slept pretty well, and then I drove Jasmine to class, said goodbye, and Ann Arbor.

All in all, I guess it was a pretty good use of about 24 hours.  It was also a pretty good use of the last of my black and white film.

*yawn*... time to go back to bed.  Click the slumbering Jasmine to go back.

heh... she'll probably yell at me for using this one, though.
