Ready... steady... GO! Kick-ass bass! Kick-ass bass guitarist!
John Entwistle can be seen on The Who Live at the Royal Albert Hall, sporting the Buzzard. The guitar is famous for having a signature "twangy" sound to it. This helps bring forth the bass guitar as a lead intrument rather than a backup one. Often mistaken for an electric guitar, the Buzzard can ALSO disguise its sound as one. This again gave John the advantage over Pete Townshend's louder than life guitar playing, allowing him to take lead if ever the need arose. There's no doubt in my mind that the John and the Buzzard stole the show on The Who Live at the Royal Albert Hall. If ever possible, I suggest you get yourself a copy of the show and check out John and his Buzzard!
