*Chapter1: Title: Memories*

Edison walked along the beach and kicked the rocks. He looked out at the
ocean view and dreamed back the past. He glanced over at Nicholas who was
sitting on the sand and throwing rocks.
Edison walked over to Nicholas and took a seat down. "So how's things been
going all these years?" Edison said as he placed a hand on Nicholas's
shoulder. Nicholas hesistated and looked down at the sand, "It's alright if
you say, I haven't forgot about her yet." Nicholas looked at his friend and
smiled, "Well I hope to find someone soon, but so far not yet. How about
you?" Edison was looking at the ocean view smiling, "It's alright with her,
we're getting a child soon." Nicholas laughed, "Yo congradulation! You never
told me." Edison smiled, "Of course I haven't seen you in years! Well I
really hope more good brings to you." Nicholas smiled and looked straight
out, "Yeah sure." Nicholas glanced down at his watch, "Yo I gotta run now,
I'll call your cell." Edison nodded, "Yeah, keep in contact, I'll call you
to hang out." Nicholas nodded and walked away.

Nicholas walked slowly up the curved street. It looked like a high hill,
maybe it was back then. Nicholas stuffed his hands in his black leather coat
pockets. The wind blew on his bangs, it was no longer brown but black, like
back then. Nicholas passed by a small tree set in the corner of the street.
Nicholas stood there for a second as memories rushed back into his mind. His
eyes followed the image he thought of, a tall girl stood there, her eyes
glittered from excitement. The memories shook off his head when he heard a
loud Beep! from the street. Nicholas continued walking until he stopped at a
tall building. It looked old because the paints on it cracked and was
peeling off. There were still families living inside. Nicholas squinted
above the building, he saw the roof and there were beer cans.

Nicholas sighed and closed his eyes, he took out a necklace from his coat
pockets, "I hope you'll rest in peace, I wouldn't forget about you in years.
I really loved the memories we shared..." Nicholas glanced at the necklace,
he felt the small rose with his fingers.
