i apologise for all of the large type and uppercase angst, but this song is meant to inspire ---the lyrics concern  the attitude and behaviour of a certain young man who works in a dallas club where the vlfc were able to make an appearance-) while setting up for the show, jillian, the bass player, was tuning her instrument when the man inquired if she was a member of the band. she answered 'yes'--he gave her a disdainful look, and turned away. he then caught glimpse of the male fanclubbers and immediately marked their hands with a 'b;'signifying that they were in the band and not to be charged cover.meanwhile, jillian waits patiently for her hand to be marked with the glorious 'b[. the young man tells her that 'he cant just let everyone in for free, they gotta make their money somehow,". she insists that she is a member of the band, and he calls for the owner to verify this. (apparently a guitar in a womans hand defines her as a pop-groupie,-;,it is not her own))jillians fellow fanclubbers overhear the man yelling for proof of her membership, and they assure him that she is, in fact, a bass player//.true, we have actually only performed this song once in public, but jillian felt that the situation it concerns is of great importance, that sexism is still a thorn in the side of society, even in the most allegedly diverse of scenes, some men still use that amazing manhood as an excuse to DOUBT THE POWER OF WOMEN. a woman should not be good at what she does 'for a girl".she is just good.>)
