It saddens me to write this, because it means I was wrong for trusting a fellow human being.

Last month I allowed KERRI L. BURNS, of 167 William Hunter Rd in Linwood, North Carolina 27299 to screw me out of $800 by selling her a munchkin kitten without receiving the money before shipment. It was an odd situation as the kitten was thought to be previously sold but then the lady had to change her mind at the last minute because of financial problems. When I put the kitten back up for sale KERRI BURNS then called to say she was very interested in purchasing the kitten as a breeder. I spoke to her for quite a long time, (on my dime of course).

It was only 3 or 4 days until I would be leaving to ship the other 2 littermates out. It is a 450 mile drive to ship my kitties, so I made a judgment call and decided to trust her because of the time crunch.

I spoke with her one last time when she phoned to let me know the kitten had arrived safe and sound. She said "the check was in the mail", and that it would be there when I got home. GUESS WHAT??? It wasn't.

I tried to call her phone numbers, home 336-853-1123 and cell 336-561-9325, and was told by her "boyfriend" that they weren't together anymore and he didn't know where she was. I then sent her a nice e-mail and received no answer. Several days later, today, I sent another e-mail, not AS nice but still nice, and low and behold...mailer-daemon! Mail can't be delivered.

I will survive without the money, I'm just so disappointed in her. Watch out Kerri. What goes around comes around! So in the future, if you see a crook named KERRI advertising munchkin kittens for sale, know that they originated from a stolen cat and that if she would screw me she'd probably screw you too.  Kerri, Your family must be very proud of you.
