Patricia Luján Grima is Principal trumpet with Eugene Opera in Oregon and has extensive experience as an orchestral performer and soloist in the San Francisco Bay Area, Oregon, and Mexico, most recently performing Arutuinian's Trumpet Concerto with the Winds of Freedom in San Francisco. She is former principal trumpet of La Orquesta Sinfonica de la Universidad de Guanajuato in Guanajuato, Mexico and is a founding member of the Farallon Brass Ensemble. Her recordings include two Grammy Award winners: Ein Deutsches Requiem (London records) with the San Francisco Symphony and Credo (Penderecki) with the Oregon Bach Festival, as well as The Music of Chen Yi (New Albion Records) with the Women's Philharmonic and Chanticleer. Grima has toured the United States with the Western Opera Theater, and has participated in the Oregon Bach Festival and the International Cervantino Music Festival. She teaches trumpet at her studio in the Oakland hills. Ms. Grima recieved her Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Oregon.
