5. Ted Whitten, also known as "Mr Football" was a player, coach and selector for Footscray [now the Western Bulldogs], a club in the Victorian [now Australian] Football League. Ted Whitten is also mentioned in The Mystery of the Artist Explained.
6. Ted Nugent (1948 - ) is a US guitar legend and outspoken proponent of hunting and blood sports.
7. Ted Heath (1916 - ) was the British Conservative (Tory) Party Prime Minister from 1970 - 1974.
8. Edward "Teddy" Kennedy (1932 - ) is the brother of John F Kennedy and Robert F Kennedy, both assasinated. His political career was compromised by his involvement in a mysterious fatal car accident at Chappaquiddick Island in 1969.
9. That is, "teddy bear", a stuffed toy bear said to be named after Theodore Roosevelt (see next Note).

12. Ted Hamilton is an Australian actor who appeared in the TV drama Division 4 (1969 - 1975). The theme from Division 4 is sampled in Thunderbirds Are Coming Out.
13. A play on Ten Little Niggers, a 1939 book by British crime author, Agatha Christie (1890 - 1976). It was republished in 1940 under the title And Then There Were None. The title Ten Little Indians has also been used for editions of the book, and for film and stage versions.
14. This was the announcement (with "Elvis" substituted for "TISM") made at the end of Elvis Presley's concerts to encourage fans to go home.
