Gambit and Sabertooth met up in Paris France, long before Gambit joined the Xmen, Sabertooth forced Gambit to make a deadly descion...Sabertooth held Gambit's cousin, and his woman over a building and told Gambit that it was up to him who he should save...the woman, or his blood...Gambit made the choice and saved his cousin...but the woman was killed...and Gambit and Sabertooth have bitterly crossed paths several times since then.
