The EasyLanguage Advanced Course's objective is to unleash the full power and capabilities of the TradeStation Group products through EasyLanguage.
In this course the participants will learn to fully utilize EasyLanguagage as a language to express their trading ideas with no or little limitations.
Through the advanced use of variables, functions, arrays, loops and drawing objects the participants will be able to build any trading strategy regardless of complexity. Accessing and manipulating data in ways seldom thought of when thinking of computerized trading strategies.
Following is the agenda for the EasyLanguage Advanced Course. Note that with agreement between participants, the advanced course topics can be changed or rearranged, so don't hesitate to give comments or suggestions:
Day One
Automation: what, why and how much
Manipulating date and time
Troubleshooting your analysis techniques
Printing to the message windows
Creating 'Expert Commentary' for your studies
Analysis techniques that react to the mouse clicks
Drawing text on the chart
New possibilities ~ beyond maxBarsBack
Using variables creatively
Flags, and switches
Advanced functions:
simple vs. series
passing and returning multiple values
What are arrays, why and how to use them
Using loops
Drawing and using trend lines with EasyLanguage
Getting data in and out of TradeStation
Data in
Data out
Beyond TradeStation ~ using excel with TradeStation
Day Two (optional, half day)
Work on individual questions and projects
Analysis techniques that respond to your mouse
Multimedia and EasyLanguage (optional)
Discussion on ActivityBars (optional)
Discussion on ProbabilityMaps (optional)
It is strongly recommended that participants take the EasyLanguage Foundation Course prior to the the EasyLanguage Advanced Course, or for them to have equivalent experience with the TradeStation Group products.
The cost of attendance for the EasyLanguage Advanced Course is 700$. A 100$ non refundable fee is required two weeks prior to the scheduled date of the course.
