Time is not measured by electricity as it is on earth. Goreans use beautifully carved sundials, moondials and indoors intricately made waterclocks to mark the passage of time.

Gorean Day: 20 Ahn equals 24 Earth hours

Ahn: the Gorean Hour(40 Ehn); equals 72 Earth minutes, of which there are 20 in a Gorean Day

Ehn: the Gorean Minute (80 Ihn); equals 108 Earth seconds, of which there are 40 in an ahn (hour)

Ihn: the Gorean Second, equals 1.35 Earth seconds, of which there are 80 in an ehn (minute)

tenth ahn: tenth 'hour', the Gorean Noon

twentieth ahn: twentieth 'hour', the Gorean Midnight
