Our main goal is to teach as much as we can about horse abuse-- how sometimes it's because of mean people, but many times it's because of ignorance, confusion, misunderstanding and miscommunication. As many of us have seen in our lives, sometimes people abuse horses in the name of winning-- but many just don't know how to care for the horse properly, or made a bad choice about which horse to buy and are stuck with more horse than they can handle... or are trying to make a quick fix to a serious training problem... there are so many different stories, but so many of them can be prevented! I hope that if all of us can learn as much as we can about horse abuse, we will be able to recognise it when we see it and will be able to respond to save the horse. Sometimes it can be as easy as talking to the owner about something they might want to try instead of what they're doing. Other times, when cruelty is truly involved, you may need to look to the authorities to step in.

At any rate, in the next few weeks, you will see the main site go up, with the stories of some past horses we have rescued as well as a few new stories. :o) We are currently trying to arrange the rescue of several horses, from a sweet aged QH mare to an injured racehorse who going to be sent to slaughter after his injury. He's a good little horse, actually, and with proper medical care could be used as a pleasure horse
