DAUR HIDUP ORANG BUKIT
Abstract:
Bukit people are one
of the ethnic groups in South Kalimantan having their own customs. They have settled the mountain
environment that is tied to the plantation and agriculture with their original
religion “balian” or forest religion. Living far from the town, from one
generation to another, they have inherited their old tradition and maintained
ritual or magic ceremonies; these habitual activities have done since the
periods of pregnancy, birth, adult, marriage and death. Their life circle is
based on their religion; both religious and custom leaders lead them.
