MENJADIKAN PELAJARAN SEJARAH Rochgiyanti Abstract: There is an assumption that history is an easy as well as boring subject. This assumption should be a challenge to teachers of the subject. To face the challenge they should give an insight about the concept of history and history science properly to their students. Besides that, they should explain the objective and the use of studying histoty. In order to make the subject more interesting, they should implement the various methods and teaching media. Beside implementing lecturing method, they should implement alternately discussion, observation, role-playing, study tour, or assignment ones. In the effort to clarify the material, they are necessary to make us of the available teaching aids and visualization either inside or outside the classroom. All the efforts will be well and successfully carried out if either teachers or students have a good will. Key words: historical narrative, methods, teaching aids, visualization.
