EFEKTIVITAS BELAJAR KOOPERATIF MODEL STAD Ati Sukmawati & Sumartono Abstract: This research is aimed to examine an effectiveness of the cooperative learning STAD model in comparation to the conventional one; it is as an effort to improve the students’ learning achievement of the second grade SLTP 1 Negeri Banjarmasin in learning linear equation with two changers. In this research quantitative approach is applied. Research populations are 7 classes with 2 classes as samples. These samples are chosen at random. Data are collected using pre-test and post-test. The result of research shows that there is a significant different learning achievement of the cooperative learning using STAD model in comparison to the conventional one in the effort to improve the students’ learning achievement of the second grade SLTP 1 Negeri Banjarmasin in learning linear equation with two changers.
