MINAT DAN KEBIASAAN BACA MAHASISWA

Abstract:     If the students want to learn successfully in a college, they must read 850.000 words in a week. In this relation, there are two problems whether: (1) they have ability to read in such reading volume, and (2) a reading activity becomes their cultural behavior. In this research, the researcher uses the approach of survey with simple statistical analysis, namely: percentage. The students as the samples of this research are taken from both state and private colleges in Banjarmasin and Banjarbaru. As far as it is known, a  reading activity has not been a part of their culture; even their reading habit is very bad. In general they read in disorder way. However, they have large reading interests.
