PERSEPSI PELAKSANA PENDIDIKAN 
TERHADAP KURIKULUM BERBASIS KOMPETENSI
DI KABUPATEN HULU SUNGAI SELATAN

Abstract: Competence-Based Curriculum will be implemented in Indonesian schools starting from academic years 2007/2008. This paper describes the results of the research on teachers’ perception on the plan of the implementation of CBC in Hulu Sungai Selatan (HSS) regency. The research was used decriptive quantative method and conducted in thirteen schools, consisted of 5 primary schools, 5 junior secondary schools, and 3 senior secondary schools. The instruments of the reserach are SoCQ (Stages of Concern Questionaire) and interview. The research showed that most of the teachers in HSS regency are in the stages of information and personal (non-user). A few of them are in the stage of collaboration, especialy teachers who come from the schools that already implementing CBC as a tryout). The teachers in this group can be categoried as beginning users who need to learn further and gain information and work together with colleagues. Based on the results of the research we propose that the government should positively responses by preparing strategic steps for the implementation of CBC through teacher training and education, preparing facilities and continous support.
