IMMUNE RESPONSE CHANGED AT THE HEART RATE DEFLECTION POINT DUE TO INTERVAL INTENSIVE AEROBIC EXERCISE AR Shadiqin Abstract: The purpose of this study is reveal the immune response modulation at the heart rate deflection (HRD) point due to interval intensive aerobic exercise (IIAE). The design: Randomized pretest-posttest control group. The sample: 16 students of 18-19 years old, divided into Treatment group (8 subjects) and Control group (8 subjects). The Tg underwent physical exercise consisted of 15 minutes interval exercise on ergocycle at the intensity of 80%-90% of maximal heart rate, three times a week for 6 weeks. Dependent variable were serum cortisol, IgM and IgG. Statistical analysis: IIDN test, Anova, Manova and Discriminant analysis. Result: Significant differences in serum cortisol, IgM and IgG between the two groups. Δ1 and Δ 2 is the initial test difference of Tg and Cg (d1-s1), Δ3 and Δ4 is the final test difference of Tg and Cg (d2-s2). No significant differences between Δ1-Δ2 and Δ3-Δ4. Significant differences exist between Tg (Δ3 – Δ1) and Cg (Δ4 – Δ2) with Fsiq = .029 (p < .05). Conclusion: 1) IRM at HRD point occuring during the IIAE remains in a physiological state. 2) Physical IIAE cause a change of pattern of the IM at HRD point, as has been denoted by the existing interaction between cortisol and IgM level. 3) The change of pattern of the IM at HRD point caused by IIAE can be used as an indicator for health. Key words: Interval intensive aerobic exercise, HRD, immune response modulation
