MODEL STUDENT TEAMS ACHIEVEMENT DIVISION (STAD) Iriani Bakti, Mahdian & Yuliatun Muslimah
Abstract: This
research is meant to know the students’ achievement through implementation of
Studenr Teams Achievement Division (STAD) model in learning the concept of
fertilizer and pestiside. This action research is done through 2
cycles,
consisting of the steps of planning, conducting action, observing and
reflecting. Data are collected using achievement test, observation and
questionnaire. Data analysis is carried out on the basis of percentage
technique. The research result shows that (1) the STSD model can increase
learning achievement, in the score ranges of 23 - 71 to be 38 - 81 in Quiz I,
and 71 - 100 in Quiz II, (2) the students’ and groups’ achievement scores, and
group’s respect level increase, and (3) the students whose answer to each item
is right increase from 50,87 % in the basic quiz to 55,63 % in Quiz I, and 84,57
% in Quiz II.
