IMPLEMENTASI Cooperatif Learning Bambang Suharto & Arif Sholahuddin
Abstract : This study is meant to
analyze the implementation of cooperative learning with the technique of Jigsaw
in the Instrument Analysis. The objective of this study is to know learning
achievement of instrument analysis with Cooperative Learning using Jigsaw
technique, (2) problems faced by the lecturers and the students, and (3) the
students’ response to the lecturing process. The kind of research is the action
research and it is categorized as research. The subject of research are the
students of Chemistry Education Study Program attending Analysis Instrument,
even semester of 2005 / 2006. They are 48 students. Data collected through
test, observation, and questionnaires. Data are analyzed with technique of
percentage.. The research result shows that learning achievement through
cooperative learning using technique of Jigsaw is better than that obtained
before. About 95,8 % achieve grades with good qualification and 4,2 % of them,
enough qualification. The problems are that the room does not support the
learning process and the students are inactive to have references. The students
give different responses: (1) they prefer to have the lecturing material from
their classmates, (2) they are more self-supporting, (3) they are motivated to
learn the new knowledge, (4) there is a cooperation to solve the problem and
they accept the different opinions, and (5) they can establish solidarity and
self confidence. To apply this model, it needs a wide enough room with good air
refreshing, and discipline in time allotment.
