ADAPTASI PETANI DI KALIMANTAN SELATAN

Abstract: An antrophological research on transmigration, especially that focuses on adaptive ability of transmigrants in the new location, is rarely conducted. The  adaptive ability of transmigrants coming from some different cultural backgrounds in the rise and fall  and irrigation area, is described in this article.  This research studies cultural variables such as tradition, motivation, desire and basic ability belong to the farmers, which are predicted to have a close relationsip to adaptive ability in the new location. The adaptive ability of the transmigrants is not only influenced by the condition of physical environment but also by the socio-economic and cultural factors.
