Art Song
Art Song is a program that I am using to create experimental midi music.
With the program, you use four raw materials to create a composition, an image, a trace pattern, a
scale or set of permitted note pitches and a style. The program produces musical sequences by tracing a
path over a picture that you provide. Midi sequences can have up to 10 midi channels.
Here are some music that I have created with Art Song. The full size images that were used to create
the music are available on the pages
(View/Listen/Download) but are quite large (100k plus) so you might
prefer just to listen and download (Listen/Download) the music without displaying the full picture.

This is a 'serious' composition that has been written for piano using Art Song midi files for
the basis of the composition. The work consists of 3 pages which may be played in any order and can
commence at any bar. The full piano score, full size graphic and midi file are available on the
page.
