hostess, Anne Holloway, is a cordon bleu chef, with years of experience
in prestigious restaurants and directors' dining rooms. She brings this
experience and a distinctive stylishness to a region blessed with glorious
ingredients including a diversity of seafood from the fishing boats of Ullapool
and venison from the surrounding hills. Breakfast on local smoked fish, Sutherland bacon, porridge with cream and home-made marmalade. Picnics can be ordered for excursions. Dinner at Tanglewood House is a much sought-after option. |

Tanglewood House is located
just outside Ullapool on the A835, 55 miles from the A9 Inverness trunk road.
It is about an hour from Inverness Airport with direct air links to the major
British airports. There are regular Caledonian MacBrayne ferry sailings from Ullapool to the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebridies. The renowned gardens of Inverewe are 1½hours drive away along the scenic coastal route A832, which also connects to Oban and the Isle of Skye. |
