U.S.S. Constellation in San Diego Bay at the Coronado Bay Bridge
Fall Update in Military Anesthesia
16-17 October 1997
Naval Medical Center
San Diego, California
Sponsored by the
Navy Anesthesia Society
The Fall Update in Military Anesthesia will be held the day before the Annual Meeting
of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, for the convenience of those who plan
to attend the latter.
The meeting will start at the Admiral Kidd Club in San Diego on the evening of 16
October 1997, with a roundtable discussion of current topics in regional anesthesia
and analgesia. Food and beverages will be provided.
The following day, the meeting will be held at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego.
This unique anesthesia meeting will feature a frank discussion of issues not covered
in any other academic forum. We will focus on the practice of anesthesia in operational environments, as well as the role of the anesthesia provider in providing support
for unconventional warfare and operations other than war.
Our trade show will be held concurrent with the main meeting on 17 October 1997.
It will feature exhibits of new pharmaceuticals, transport ventilators, new anesthesia
machines and monitors. We will have a guest speaker at the banquet following the
meeting, on the evening of 17 October.
Audience participation is highly encouraged to discuss and debate the issues which
are most critical to contemporary military anesthesia, as well as for people to meet
and reacquaint themselves with their friends and colleagues from all over the world.
The Symposium will be fully accredited by the Naval School of Health Sciences for
category 1 CME credit for physicians, and by the AANA CEU credit for nurses.
The $50 registration fee for the Fall Update in Military Anesthesia includes breakfast
and lunch.
