Created in 1994, at the URL http://www.ma.man.ac.uk/~farina/RK/rk.html, this site was probably
the first noncommercial site about the composer.  I got motivated to write the pages in view of the
lack of information about Rimsky-Korsakov on the Web at that time. Also this coincided with the
time I started to discover Rimsky's beautiful music through the three symphonies.
Thus, the information I gathered was in its totality from books; mainly from My Musical Life, the
autobiography and Gerald Seaman's Guide to Research.

I hope this site continues to provide useful information for those who enjoy or are discovering
Rimsky-Korsakov music and life.
