Great Falls, Virginia

Where the Potomac is picturesque

This photo was taken with a 35mm Rollei 35S camera in the summer of 1997. The strangely colored water is how the river looks most of the time.

After seeing this tumultuous water body I said to myself: "Thank God that George Washington did not pick this place to cross the Potomac."

Although it is not readily noticeable in this computer rendition, there are several fools in the water trying to paddle their kayaks upstream. Others went even further and climbed the Falls on foot and then paddled their way down.

Dulles Airport, the largest civilian airfield on the East Coast.

This ground station is near Dulles Airport. Could they be looking for UFOs?
