Agricola Maria was born in Cuneo and graduated with honours from the Conservatory in her city at a very young age.

Her dèbut was in 1985 with "Il Tabarro" by Puccini. at the Teatro Regio di Torino and the following year, she performed at the Teatro Massimo in Palermo with the "Magnificat" by Petrassi directed by Maestro G.Gavazzeni. This was the beginning of her career with the most important Concert Associations, including the Angelicum in Milan, the Cantiere d'Arte in Montepulciano, the Nuova Consonanza in Rome, Aterteatri in Reggio Emilia, the Teatro Regio in Parma, and the Italian Broadcasting Corporation (RAI) in Turin and Rome

In 1987 Maria Agricola won the "prima scrittura" prize in Barga (Lu) for the Opera "Arianna a Nasso" by Strauss, which she pertormed on tour in Hamburg.

In 1989 she was the only Italian to participate in a perfection course at the Hochschule für Musik in Munich, where she interpreted the role of Susanna in the "Nozze di Figaro" by Mozart, and "Angelique" by Ibert.

She has performed on tour in Japan and in Australia in the "Serva Padrona" by Pergolesi and in music by Contemporary musicians. Her participation at the VIII International Music Festival in Alicante was especially important, where she was acclaimed by both the critics and the public

In 1996 she won the International competition "2 Agosto" in Bologna. The jury composed of the most famous music critics, was headed by Maestro Michelangelo Zurletti.

In a world première at La Scala in Milan, she interpreted Samantha in the opera "Outis" by Luciano Berio, and in Mexico City for the Cervantinofs Festival, she performed "Aventures" and "Nouvelles Aventures" by Ligeti.

Her repertoire covers the period from 18th century Opera to contemporary composers which she has interpreted in numerous première concerts in Italy and abroad
