The other English teachers were often more than willing to turn their pilot groups over to me. While these were the best and brightest of the Politechnika students, they came to the school from all over Poland, they were also the most cocky and argumentative and quite likely to believe they knew as much or more than their teacher. They also had an annoying tendency not to show up for class when they had scheduling conflicts requiring them to be at the airfield. I sent this picture to my Peace Corps APCD to prove that I really did have students even though they failed to show up for the two class sessions she was there to observe.
