everyweek!

As we enter into the Christmas Season as well as the end of this year, let us be reminded that the dynamics of the Christian life is the strongest consciousness of the ending of the present world and the firm conviction of the second coming of Jesus Christ. The current crises of the environment, economic and political phenomenia in Asia and the preaching on the book of Revelation in these 3 months is definitely not be chance but a timely and strong reminder from God for us, the followers of Jesus Christ. Let's be well equipped spiritually for both 1998 and the 21st Century. May God's spirit be our Guide.

In 1998, Rev Joshua Tan Sin Kian will be posted to our Church as the Pastor-in-Charge. Both Rev Khor and Rev Ho will still be in Kum Yan. Let us pray for the new Pastoral Team.

CANTONESE REVIVAL MEETING

The Cantonese Revival Meetings ended last week. Thanks be to God! God used Rev Michael Shen tremendously as the speaker. There were about 30 brothers and sisters who re-dedicated their lives to God on the final night.

CHRISTMAS CHARITY FUND

Contribution is collected every year from November till mid-December and the money will be used to buy Christmas gifts for old folks' homes and orphanages. Let us give generously in the true spirit of Christmas.

CALLING ALL HOMEPAGE OWNERS

AT KUM YAN

Members of the Cantonese Methodist Kum Yan who maintained Homepages can have them linked here in our very own "Church Christian Weblinks". This is to encourage and sharing with each other through our Homepages. It is also another form of fellowship, more appropriate if we call it "cyber-fellowship".

If you have a Homepage, please email brother Herman with your Homepage URL and he will do the needful. Send your entries tohermanet@singnet.com.sg

You can visit the Homepages of our Church members on the 5th Floor. Proceed to the Kum Yan Virtual Elevator now and click on the 5th Floor button.

MARRIAGE SOLEMNIZATION

Our Rev Khor Tong Keng has been given the license to solemnize marriages by the Registrar of Marriages. His appointment as a marriage solemnizer will enable him to solemnize marriages in Singapore and of course in Kum Yan. Members who are getting married can approach Rev Khor.

Before you leave this Page, please me a note telling me that you've visited here. I'm conducting a survey to find out which department of my Church Website is most visited during the month. This will help me to further improve on the maintenance of this Website. Just enter "kumyan3" in the subject heading and click "send" on the mailform, and I will know what you mean. Thanks for your co-operation and assistance rendered. God bless!
