November 30, 1997 "HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!"
What a joyous beginning in Thie^u' Nhi today. All the Tru*o*ng~ had gone out of their way to gave the Ddoa`n a very happy 5th Anniversary Party. Thanks going out to all the Tru*o*ng~!!
Though the happy hours did not last long. With the meeting of the Tru*o*ng~, tha^`y Hu`ng had said too much. The quietness he had put on ever since the fight with Quang Cha^u was exploded today as he gave out a mouthfull. "Ca'c Tru*o*ng~ trong ddoa`n....vo^ ky~ lua^t." Though mad as the Tru*o*ng~ were, they kept their mouths shut, knowing inside that tha^`y Hu`ng, hopefully, didn't mean what he said and didn't know enough about the ddoa`n yet, since he is new. They just hope that he would think twice next time before speaking out of line next time.
November 27, 1997 Hey, Thanksgiving finally came! Were the skits and dances ready? You better believe it. Even though there's some troubles with the stage directing, everything goes as planned. Although not as great as the previous years, the skits and dances were still good....can't said much for the music during mass or the foods after it.
With the bad foods and music, the dances performed by the little Au' Nhi and the "Ddoa`n Vui~ Chim Non" did an outstanding job....making up for it. Applauses go out to all the little angles of the Vietnamese Catholic Community of Hartford, Connecticut!!
November 23, 1997 With Thanksgiving only four days away, all the skits and dances were going through it final stages today.

November 16, 1997 An argument arised today between Du*. Tru*o*ng~ Quang Cha^u and tha^`y Hu`ng. It seem that a little misunderstand about what is right and what is not concerning tha^`y Hu`ng's teaching had caused quite a commotion. The two people stood their ground stubbornly. Both unwillingness to yield to the other on a certain "taboo subject" had pulled Cha Dzu~ng and Tru*o*ng~ Ddo in. In the end, Cha Dzu~ng and Tru*o*ng~ Ddo. agreed with Quang Cha^u's opinion and had caused a faint flame of "******" to arise in tha^`y Hu`ng heart.
On other subjects, the Christmas Cards Fundraiser was a sold out! After only two weeks, every cards had been sold! Many people were disappionted, but there was nothing the TN can do. Many Thanks out to all the Thieu Nhi who had made this year fundraiser a big success. Thanx Guys!
All the dance and skit are still on as Thanksgiving slowly approach, all except for the Ho`n Vo.ng Phu skit. It seem with little time on our hand, the skit won't be put on. But in it place, another skit was added! Short in version, but it will be on the same level as the Ho`n Vo.ng Phu skit.
November 9, 1997 Today Tru*o*ng~ Ddo. picked out kids for the upcoming Thanksgiving play to commemorate the Ddoan` 5th aniversary. With three dances, a skit concerning the life of Ca'c Tha'nh Tu*~ Ddao. Vie^t. Nam, and another skit about Ho`n Vo.ng Phu, it will be exciting....not to mention a lot of work!
November 2, 1997 It seem to most Du*. Tru*o*ng~ that moving up another step in the Ddoa`n isn't what they have in mind. On the edge between Huynh Tru*o*ng~ and Ddoa`n Vie^n, they received little or no respect from both sides. Sometime it seemed frustrating and hopeless to them not knowing where they belong. To them the role, Du*. Tru*o*ng~ had separated them from the rest of the Ddoa`n by not allowing them to act or expresses themselves freely like in the years pass. Other news highlight of the week:
Ddoa`n Phaolo^ start selling Christmas Cards as a fundraiser for the Ddoa`n's treasury and also to assist the poor comunity back in Vietnam as of today. In years pass, the cards funraiser were very successful and hopefully this year will be no exception. The price is $1.50, not bad for a beautiful card that play christmas carols each time it open.
Tru*o*ng~ Cha^u started praticing a group of Thie^u' Nhi girls for our Ddoa`n Anniverary as well as for the Thanksgiving party. So far there's only a dance to the music "Lo`ng Me." So far no skit is being plan.
October 26, 1997 "Thi Si~" Those two simple words had brought a smile to Quang Cha^u's face today after he explained in his own words, the meaning of Love. Before the new class which had just started, this clever Du*. Tru*o*ng~ had weaved his most attractive web that both fascinate and captivated the new teacher as well as his friends. The new class, which geared toward teaching the Nghia~ Sy~ as well as the Du*. Tru*o*ng~ to better understand the world around them, had found favor with some Nghia~ Sy~ and Du*. Tru*o*ng~, but not all of them. Some Du*. Tru*o*ng~ felt that with all of the study classes, there are no time left for games or TNTT chuye^n mo^n. Compared to the past few years, it seemed that with loss of most Huynh Tru*o*ng~, Ddoa`n Phaolo^ Le^ Bao? Ti.nh seemed to be running low and dry on the joy and laughter they possessed bountiful so many years back.
October 19, 1997 The quiet autumn afternoon was broken when Doan Phaolo Le Bao Tinh was let lose on the golden field just south of the church parking lot. Within seconds of the little Thieu Nhi's freedom, the sky was filled with fresh fallen leaves and the strong, happy cries of laughter. Nobody was left clean of the beautiful autumn colors, not even Father Joseph.
Beside for the leafy incident that occured earlier today, our Doan was also visited by new friends from Bridgeport. It seem that they will be another Vietnamese Youth Group in Bridgeport Connecticut soon, and the soon to be Huynh Truong and Du Truong came to our Doan for some experience. Though shy at first, our Doan soon broke them out of their shell and let them joined us in on the fun. If everything go according to plan, it look like Doan Phoalo Le Bao Tinh might have a very close friend in the upcoming future.

October 10, 1997 A meeting was held today to discuss subjects concerning our Doan in the upcoming months, and also to elect a new Doan Truong. Over the pass three years Truong Do had lead our young group through good times as well as bad. Committed to his work for our group, he had served and done more than his call of duty. Now that his term is up, Truong Liem is elected by the Huynh Truong to the new position, but he rejected it. With Truong Hop and Truong Huyen's future departure within a few more months, and the still very young and inexperienced Du Truong, it seem highly probable that Truong Do have to extend his term.
