Wellspring

Wellspring is a two-year program sponsored by the United Methodist Church, New York Annual Conference. According to the mission statement, "the intent of Wellspring is to nurture laity and clergy in their journey toward spiritual wholeness, to encourage global consciousness, justice and compassion for all of God's creation, and to prepare participants as spiritual guides, companions and servant-leaders."

For me, Wellspring is a sort of retreat and seminary.

The "Class of 2000" of which I am a part consists of 23 participants and 7 staff. We meet at a retreat center once per month on a weekend, except during summer, for two years. We will complete this part of our journey in May, 2000.

Wellspring, in short, is a pathway I'm following on my spiritual journey.
