Mission - The Franklin Civic Band provides an avenue of performance for adults to enhance the cultural arts of the community and to provide an outlet for anyone who wishes to perform in a concert/symphonic band.
Membership - Any adult who plays a musical instrument is encouraged to participate. There are no auditions - no one is turned away.
Schedule - Rehearsals are scheduled for each Wednesday from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Franklin High School band room. A word about rehearsals. Experience has shown that those bands which have quality performances practice at least once each week. Those that rehearse only every other week or two times a month are less prepared and experience difficulty in presenting a quality performance. In addition, infrequent rehearsals often result in inconsistent attendance and confusion as to when rehearsals are scheduled. When regular rehearsals are scheduled each week, there is less confusion.
Band Calendar - The band operates on a year round  basis except for a break between a Christmas            performance with the Franklin Village Singers and the    following April. Additional performances may be  scheduled depending upon requests and availability of members.
Music - The Band plays marches, orchestral,              instrumental solos, Broadway and movie music, and a variety of other types. All music selections are planned with audience appeal in mind.
