Jerry Goldsmith's "Frontiers" CD

FRONTIERS REVIEW

On November 4th, 1997, every Jerry Goldsmith fan throughout the world got a pleasant suprise. For the first time, a compilation of his work was released to the public on a single CD, available in almost any store. The title of this CD, as you may have guessed from the title of this page, is "Frontiers", and I hope that the review I write here will help those that are considering buying it make their decision.

The first thing to be said is a simple "WOW!" This CD blew me away when I first got it, and has since become a favorite out of my entire CD collection (which is quite formidable).  The slightly slower version of the "Voyager" main theme is my favorite on the CD, with the "First Contact" theme in close second. To get all of my favorite Star Trek themes on one CD was such a blessing! Of course all of the tracks are wonderfull, and I especially like "Total Recall", "Alien", and "Logan's Run - End of the City".

As for the rest of the tracks on the CD, TWO THUMBS UP!
