Canadian opera tenor, Dan Chamandy, is a graduate of the University of Toronto and Dalhousie University. From 1999-2006, he was an ensemble member of the Tiroler Landestheater, Innsbruck where among others, he was heard as Don Jose (Carmen), Calaf (Turandot), Florestan (Fidelio), Stolzing (Meistersinger), Werther (Werther), and Herodes (Salome). Both in Wiesbaden and in the Komische Oper Berlin, he sang Sergei (Lady Macbeth von Mzensk), and at the New York City Opera as Paul (Die Tote Stadt). Almost every year he has sung Sou Chong (Land des Laechelns) in such European cities as Wiesbaden, Darmstadt, Passau, Landshut, Innsbruck, as well as a one year Holland tour of the Operetta.
This season includes Don Jose (Carmen) in Hildesheim/Hannover, Anatol (Vanessa) in Giessen, and Paul (Die Tote Stadt) in Passau/Landshut/Straubing.
