Log onto IUMA and hear some music I've recorded, but only if you are patient. I hope to migrate my older material to this site in time. Two other songs, in demo form, are here if you would like to give them a listen.
On the Seasons and Long Way to Go, and both were inspired by a truly remarkable, special woman - my wife (and soon to be mom to a little Mierisch), Jen ... Another addition to the collection here (musically, not human), with a lyric by Jennifer R. A. Mierisch, is a spoof on the Modern English tune "Melt with You." MELT is here in its first draft form.

About Bill Mierisch
I taught instrumental music, choral music, drama, and some general music at The Pine School formerly St. Michael's Independent School), in Stuart, Florida a few years ago. Hurricanes (and other things) helped convince me that FL was not for me.
I am now director of technology at The Catherine Cook School in Chicago. Unfortunately, the new job keeps me from updating this site as much as I'd like to.
I
continue to compose - primarily choral music. Prior to my stint in Florida, I completed a tour of duty as visiting assistant
professor of music theory, and director of the brass and jazz
ensembles at Earlham
College.

Samples of other choral work are available upon request.
I
welcome commissions for any sort of choral work, and can make any of
my other compositions or arrangements available. Simply inquire
